Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 31 July 2026
In plain English: NOMADREEF contains affiliate links. If you click one and buy or book something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, the price is the same as going direct. That commission is how an independent, reader-supported site like this pays for itself.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a normal link with a tracking tag that tells a partner (an insurer, an
eSIM provider, a retailer) that you arrived from NOMADREEF. If you then buy, the partner pays us a
small commission. We mark such links in context (for example, "(affiliate)"), and they
carry a rel="sponsored" attribute.
Our promise: fit, never payout
We only recommend products and services we would use ourselves, and we rank them on how well they fit a nomad who spends time in the water, never on which programme pays us the most. Where a cheaper, free, or non-affiliate option is the better fit, we say so. If we ever can't recommend something honestly, we don't link it.
Amazon Associates
NOMADREEF is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Prices and availability on Amazon change frequently; any price we mention is indicative and "as of" the date shown, so always check the current price on Amazon before buying.
Other partners
We also work with, or plan to work with, travel, insurance, connectivity and gear partners (for example travel insurance such as SafetyWing, eSIMs such as Airalo, banking such as Wise, tours such as GetYourGuide, and accommodation such as Booking.com). Each has its own terms, and we follow them. Being an affiliate never changes our editorial verdict.
Gifted or sponsored content
If we ever receive a product for free, are paid for a piece of content, or have any other material connection to something we mention, we will disclose that clearly and prominently within the relevant article, in line with the U.S. FTC's endorsement guidelines and equivalent rules elsewhere.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you think we've missed a disclosure, please tell us via the contact page. See also our editorial standards and privacy policy.
