IKO and VDWS each publish one, and this page has not been rebuilt from them yet: IKO answers with 306 centres in 64 countries and VDWS with 427 stations in 26 countries, both in a single request, behind finders that show nothing in the page source. Being in one of those lists confirms a school's affiliation. Not being in one confirms nothing, because IKO says it affiliates more centres than its list carries. Absence from this page therefore says the list is incomplete, not that a school is missing from any register. Three of the four name ISA. Two publish the languages they teach in, which is a better rate than any kite destination in this directory.

An equipment brand is not a training body. Several schools show Duotone, Cabrinha, Naish or North prominently. Those are gear sponsorships and certify nothing, so they are not recorded as affiliations, and a school that names only a brand shows a blank here.

A named body is still only a claim. None of these schools publishes a membership number, so there is nothing to take to IKO or VDWS and check. If you care, ask the school for its number and ask the body to confirm it.

Why no register stands behind this page. Twenty-five governing bodies and state registers have been tried, from IKO and VDWS to PADI, SSI and the tourism authorities of five countries.
